Successful Golfers

Since 2007, Hörmann has been supporting young golfers with intellectual disabilities. Deputy head Klaus-Hermann Bunte (organisation) and head pro Bradley Kerr (golf training) established the group in 2001 and manage it with increasing success.

Every Friday, the golfers get together to practice on the course of the famous Bielefeld golf club (BGC).

Inclusive golf tournaments have become part of the club’s routine.

Since 2011, there is a steady collaboration between the club and the Special Olympics World Games for people with intellectual disabilities.

In the year 2012, the North-Rhine Westphalia golf training centre was established at the Bielefeld golf club.

Bradley Kerr became head coach of the German team and the golf coordinator for the Special Olympics Germany.

Members of the BGC golf team successfully participated in the World Games in Beijing (2007), Athens (2011) and Atlanta (2015).
